ADVOCATE FOR CHANGE IN YOUR COMMUNITY
The Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program fuses theoretical frameworks and clinical experiences of mental health counselors with a fully integrated social justice curriculum to produce wellrounded mental health practitioners with a holistic view of the socio-cultural influences on mental health
From the first week, students work under supervision to provide services to underserved populations. The program is also distinctive in its focus on the development of multicultural competencies. These and other curricular experiences ensure that program graduates employ a social justice perspective and deliver effective clinical services informed by research
