Today’s organizations have multifaceted and immersive relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, and communities. Within this context, a successful leader must improve the bottom line, while responding to the needs and values of stakeholders. Covering topics in leadership, communication, analytics, and ethics, MSOL coursework is designed to be interactive, and the program provides an opportunity to reflect on the organizational challenges, opportunities, and approaches needed to succeed in diverse settings.

THE PURPOSEFUL LEADERSHIP I N I T I AT I V E Launched in 2018, the Purposeful Leadership Initiative is an integrated education, research, and outreach enterprise that aims to positively affect leadership styles, skills, and approaches undertaken by students and professionals. Housed within the initiative is the Banta Center for Ethical and Purposeful Leadership, a forum for conversation, inquiry, and debate on ethics as the foundation for excellence in individual and organizational decision-making. The initiative also sponsors the 21st Century Leadership Speaker Series, which recognizes and celebrates leaders in the community who practice purposeful leadership.
TripAdvisor Co-Founder/CEO Stephen Kaufer discussed his insights into entrepreneurship and management with Senecal Endowed Dean Tom Horan and audience in Los Angeles in fall 2018, as part of the 21st Century Leadership Speaker Series. Other speakers have included Jay Elliot, former senior vice president at Apple, and Paul Zak, author of The Trust Factor: The Science of Creating High Performance Companies.

The School of Business perceives the educational process holistically, recognizing that individuals from a variety of backgrounds and experiences can benefit from a graduate business education. We consider all elements of your application and may also take into account additional support such as GMAT (not required) or other test scores, life and work experiences, interviews, and letters of recommendation.
The Office of Student Financial Services offers financial assistance to more than 80% of the student body. Assistance can be in the form of grants, loans, and scholarships.
