PROJECT STATEMENT

REDUCE FLOADING AND EROSION

This Park is designed to mitigate flood issues and give back to the community their needs of walkable and safe spaces. It is in an industrial lot located between Gardner Lane and North Sun Tran Blvd.

UNIQUE GOALS

The design contains (18) basins for collection and storage of rainwater. Controlling runoff and erosion and sidewalk scuppers to that help to collect stormwater.

CREATE COMMUNITY AND VISUAL ENGAGEMENT Created an activity that engaged the Flowing Wells Community neighbourhood and workers around the site. They provided feedback and ideas that were incorporated into the designs decision.

WELLNESS + PHYSICAL MENTAL HEALTH This design contains spaces that support the user’s physical and mental well-being. We use plants to improve air quality and increase shading areas for communities to walk and provide workers with a place for lunch or entertainment.
