UniHaller
June 2016
A generous donation of Indigenous Art On Thursday 17 March over 50 postgraduate (postgrad) residents attended the UniHall Indigenous Artwork Exhibition. The evening celebrated the collection of artwork kindly donated to the Hall by Dr Jo Lagerberg which enables residents to display an artwork in their room. Art collector Dr Jo Lagerberg and Professor Ted Snell, Director Cultural Precinct at UWA, have been working with UniHall to bring together a collection of Indigenous paintings for residents to loan. Dr Lagerberg has a real passion for Indigenous artwork and kindly donated a collection of 31 original pieces from various communities including Watarra, Martumili, Warburton and Papulankutja. Throughout the evening, Dr Lagerberg shared the story of the artworks with residents as they were chosen via a lucky dip system to select an artwork to display in their room.
