UNITY’S Program & Training Center (PTC) offers traditional and non-traditional artistic training in various arts disciplines. Our signature artistic focus, The Soulful Art Forms, will be the hallmark of our training. This focus will attract and reach many youth and adults from various backgrounds and cultures (who want to learn musical and artistic forms not usually addressed or taught in traditional artistic settings).

Dance/Multi-Purpose Training Lab (1053 square feet) is available for workshops, seminars, dancing, worship team training, choral rehearsals, aerobics, yoga, Tai Chi, self-defense and other wellness classes. This room is also available for recordings for individuals and small groups.

Computer & Technology Training Lab (821 square feet) has 32 computer stations. The Computer & Technology Training Lab will be used for multiple purposes, retreats, workshops, seminars, music & voice classes, basic computer training in Mac or Windows, digital audio recording, digital graphic design, video editing and training, multi-media training, digital audio recording classes, group meetings and much more.

Piano & Instrumental Lab is available for single or group training on state-of-the-art pianos and instructorconnected workstations. The Group Instrumental Training Lab will be used for piano training, orchestral instrumental classes, vocal and singing classes, music theory class, and music appreciation class. Providing music training in Gospel or Sacred, Jazz, Blues, R&B, and Classical Music Styles.

For community instructors wanting to use the space, the Private Training & Practice Labs are available for private instrumental training and practice.

Private Conference Room is available for small groups of 8-10 people. The Private Conference Room will be used for private group meetings for small businesses, networking groups, and small board meetings.

Senior Programming (50 and over) UNITY’s PTC has also created a senior-friendly environment that will provide classes and training in areas of wellness, movement, and technology. Class offerings will include Tai Chi, Yoga, Introduction to the World Wide Web, Navigating Social Media, as well as instrumental lessons for those that want to cross off their bucket list. Our training center is equipped with superior audio/visual technology features which includes Apple TV and free wi-fi for our guests and participants. All of our featured rooms are available for rent. Please contact our Facility Manager for pricing at 260.999.4148.

Youth Development Programming

UNITY has a unique platform that incorporates youth empowerment and character building into the artistic training our members receive. Our PTC will allow us to expand our Youth Development Programs to other youth-serving organizations and establishments.

Program offerings include, but are not limited to: Leadership Training, Career Planning, “Rap with the Pros” (a youth lecture master class series), Financial Planning, Philanthropy, Pursuing Higher Education, Entrepreneurship, Personal Development, Health & Wellness and much more.
