Annesley Launch Supporting UnitingCare This past February and March, groups around SA, (as well as VIC, QLD, and TAS) cooked up a storm of pancakes to support people doing it tough.

Here in SA, Ten Eyewitness News presenter Rebecca Morse helped out at Annesley Junior School’s big launch event. Pancakes were flying off the table- soon to become sticky smiles.

Principal Luke Ritchie spoke about the importance of including service learning in primary school curriculum for developing self-assured, resilient and empathetic children.

Some of the students talked on camera about what helping others means to them while Penny Pancake received lots of hugs and high-fives.

It was great fun that will help others in the community.

Penny’s Travels Penny went to many different Pancake Day events this year! Here’s three of the highlights (from left):

Cedar College For several years, Cedar College Health Class has been a great supporter of Pancake Day and UnitingCare.

Clayton Church Homes Magill Penny enjoys all the high-fives and smiles she gets when she visits CCH! UnitingCare Glenelg UnitingCare Glenelg at St Andrew’s by the Sea Uniting Church operates Mary’s Kitchen every Tuesday, making it the perfect place to have a Pancake Day celebration. Pancakes were cooked and enjoyed by the community who attend Mary’s Kitchen.

Penny Pancake is available for pick-up in February or March. Limited visits on Pancake Day may be available.
