The issue that changed Dean The issue of asylum seekers has changed Assembly President, Rev Dr Dean Drayton. Before he wasn’t very involved in politics. Now he’s an “indignant observer” of what’s being done to them. Dean spoke at a thanksgiving service for asylum seekers released from detention at Pilgrim Church, Adelaide. LEFT: Dean (right) is pictured with Sr Pat Sealey, a Catholic chaplain at Baxter Detention Facility, and a recently released asylum seeker who does not want his identity known.
