The annual Golf Scramble is coordinated by the United Way Women’s Leadership Council (WLC). The mission of this volunteer group of women is to create a powerful network of women who strengthen our community through an investment of leadership, fundraising and community service. YOUR INVOLVEMENT HELPS CHILDREN IN OUR COMMUNITY SUCCEED IN SCHOOL and IN LIFE. Proceeds from Women’s Leadership events are invested into United Way’s work in EDUCATION • • • •
Puts books in the hands of thousands of local children Improves the quality of local childcare Provides school readiness opportunities Ensures local children have the positive and enriching experiences they need to succeed in school and in life
