Donor Spotlight: Serena Wolfe (MDiv '18)
Serena Wolfe has been part of appointed ministry in The United Methodist Church since 2015. After graduating with her Master of Divinity in 2018, she is now beginning the Doctor of Ministry program through the “Living the Historic faith” focus group, while pastoring a two-point charge in the West Ohio Conference.
“The education I received at United provided me with more than a theological education and practical knowledge for ministry. The faculty and staff invested in me as a disciple of Jesus Christ and guided me in my own spiritual development,” she explains.
It is for this reason that Serena is committed to giving back and contributing to the ongoing work of United. Serena and her husband choose to give monthly not only for the convenience but also because “[it] allows us to be faithful and consistent in our support.”
When Serena receives her letter from United thanking her for her monthly giving, she is reminded that she is part of a bigger movement of God, a place of hope where the seeds of the gospel are tended in the hearts of students to carry the hope of salvation into the world.
“The Holy Spirit is still active in the ministry of United,” she says. “A common Lord, a common community, and a common mission filled with hope.”
