Hispanic House of Study

Rev. Dr. Jorge Ochoa, of Northwest Texas Hispanic/Latino Movement

20 21

United Theological Seminary is excited to announce the Hispanic House of Study, which will house a Master of Divinity program entirely in Spanish and offered primarily online. This new endeavor, which will launch in the Fall of 2022, will give us the opportunity to more effectively reach the Hispanic/Latino population, which has traditionally been underserved by theological education in the United States. This 72-hour MDiv in Spanish will meet all the requirements for ordination, while allowing our Hispanic/Latino students to study in their preferred language. We are also pleased to be able to offer a yearly $8,000 tuition scholarship for all students enrolled in the Hispanic House of Study MDiv.

Rev. Rebekah Clapp

Leading this program are Rev. Dr. Jorge Ochoa, of Northwest Texas Hispanic/Latino Movement, who will serve as the Director, and Rev. Rebekah Clapp, who will serve as the Associate Director as she continues to work with United’s Hispanic Christian Academy. Both have a great history of fruitful ministry in and with Hispanic/Latino communities. This new program will be an important way of helping us fulfill our mission to make faithful, fruitful leaders who will make disciples of Jesus Christ. Author: Rev. Rebekah Clapp, Associate Director
