An Upcoming Bridge in The United States It’s true that America's infrastructure is crumbling and people are suffering. There are several bridges in the United States which are structurally deficient and functionally obsolete. The only reason behind this is funding. The United States is in underfunded states, thus cannot be able to fix the infrastructure crisis. Even the publicly available funds including taxes, tolls and more are insufficient. The only solution is the Public-Private Partnership. There are many transportation bridge infrastructure companies in the United States that own and operate private toll bridges. The new bridge is also constructed under the public-private partnership.
New Bridge. New Possibilities.
Just a few months left for the completion of Cline Avenue Bridge. Cline Avenue Bridge is an expressway in Northwest Indiana that joins SH 912 to I-90, crossing over the Indiana Harbor and Ship Canal in East Chicago, Ind. This new bridge will provide tremendous relief for local commuters and will become very beneficial for commercial industries as well as employment centers. Cline Avenue bridge is going to replace a defunct bridge that was shit in November 2009 and further demolished by the Indiana DOT. At that phase, nearly 35,000 vehicles per day were using the bridge. This new bridge was constructed under the 3Ps – Public-Private Partnership! What exactly is a public-private partnership? It is a partnership between a private entity and the public sector. The purpose of a public-private partnership is to complete a project together. It’s like a cooperative arrangement between two or more private or public sectors. Typically, a public-private partnership is required in the underfunded country. In public-private partnerships, the role of the private entity is to invest private capital to solve the infrastructure crisis. Cline Avenue bridge is one such example of a public-private partnership.
