The Bachelor of Computing in Industry (Honours) blends theory, practical experience and research. The first year builds skills and theory from the Core Body of Knowledge (CBOK) through foundational core units and workplace skill preparation.

You will then choose a major and be competitively matched with an industry partner. You will complete internships for the next two years which will count for 50 per cent of your studies. In your final year you will complete a practical industry project and industry research project.

You will graduate with not only a degree but also three years of experience in industry, and research experience if you wish to go on to further research.

Career opportunities

Graduates in the Software Development major will have opportunities to work as IT professionals in a range of fields including mobile app developers, web developers and cloud app developers.

Students in the Digital Interaction and the User Experience major will graduate with the capacity to become multimedia and user experience designers and developers, including VR and AR designers and developers.
