The Southern Cross University

Electric Kombi

Have you seen the Southern Cross Electric Kombi around town? We took a petrol-guzzling vintage Kombi and transformed it into an electric vehicle. Engineering students had the opportunity to observe firsthand the conversion and to help out in the workshop on campus.

The Faculty of Science and Engineering at Southern Cross University is a leader in the field of environmental engineering and sustainable energy. Our researchers are always looking for better energy solutions, from mobile solar power to better transport technology and there are many opportunities for students to be involved.
