A degree you can take anywhere

Brighley Dangerfield Bachelor of Business and Enterprise student

The world is your oyster with a business degree, says Bachelor of Business and Enterprise student Brighley Dangerfield.

With a passion for travel, Brighley decided to study business because she felt it was a versatile degree that could be applied in any workplace. She chose the Entrepreneurship and Innovation major to develop skills relevant to her field.

“I’m always trying to find better ways to do things. My full-time job is in the tech industry which is all about innovation so it made sense that that’s what I would fall into,” Brighley said.

“For a business to move forward, they always need to be looking ahead into the future. You need to listen to your customers and the market that you’re operating in and how that market is changing.”

Brighley said studying business has taught her a range of skills, the most important of which was communication. “The content in the degree is really relevant and up-to-date. It’s something you can take anywhere with you, whatever business or whatever field you go into. Or if it’s your own business, you’re going to learn invaluable skills.”

After graduating, Brighley plans to pursue a career in product management.
