Valley Garden Club Awards Scholarships
Two Belle Vernon scholars were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the Valley Garden Club at the annual Belle Vernon Awards Assembly on May 25. Alexis Blake, daughter of Carole and Kevin Blake, will be attending California University of Pennsylvania, majoring in biology, focusing on botany with environmental sciences. She is currently enrolled in the Master Gardener program. Natalie Whiteko will be attending Seton Hill University, majoring in allied sciences to become a physician assistant. She would like to work in orthopedic surgery.
