Clairton Students Present a Night at the Theater

1st Grade Teacher Selected for International Travel 1st grade teacher Miss Jennifer Schlata was one of 15 teachers selected from 130 teachers from around the nation for “Education in Germany” through the Fulbright Commission. Only three elementary teachers were selected. Those chosen completed an extensive application process and had to include goals for the future and what they hoped to gain from the experience. This innovative program is designed to give teachers a unique chance to gain international educational experience by observing and participating in Germany’s educational system. Miss Schlata was able to visit 6 schools, from primary grades all the way up to vocational schools. She was also able to network with German and American teachers for further classroom collaborations in the future.
