This year we bring you new work from leading modern dramatists,
including Martyr by Marius von Mayenburg, directed by Ramin Gray and
co-produced with Actors Touring Company, which tackles the difficult
subject of religious fundamentalism, the limits of liberal tolerance and
the complex relationship between students, teachers and parents.
In spring we present My Father, Odysseus by Timberlake Wertenbaker,
whom we’re extremely excited to have with us this season. Both plays
ask questions about how we can understand each other better and
what, if anything, we should fight for, with intelligence, provocation
and humour.
