UNICEF Clubs Trick-or-Treat

Welcome Back to School

66 Years of Kids Helping Kids® Crisp leaves are falling from their branches, pumpkin-spiced everything is creeping its way onto menu boards, and spooky Halloween décor is up and hanging. For UNICEF Clubs, as well as many teachers and kids across the country, this means that it is time for Trick-orTreat for UNICEF! Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF started in 1950 as an initiative to help children affected by World War II. 66 years later, over $175 million has been raised through the creative and dedicated efforts of Kids Helping Kids®. Right now, kids are thinking of ways to fill their UNICEF collection boxes, and your UNICEF Club can too! Below are some suggestions for ways your club can get involved. 1. Dress up in your favorite Halloween attire and go Trickor-Treat for UNICEF door-to-door. Invite other student groups and friends to participate. 2. Host your own Halloween party or dance. 3. Invite local schools in your area to join the campaign 1and set up a fundraising competition between classes. Also, tell teachers about the amazing teaching opportunities UNICEF provides! 4. Have a pumpkin carving contest and offer prizes and awards for the cutest, scariest, and other categories. 5. Hold a bake sale full of tasty Halloween goodies. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
