Nick Morrow
Director of Athletics Florida, 2003
Nick Morrow was promoted to the role of Director of Athletics in July 2021, becoming the seventh AD in program history. No stranger to North Florida Athletics, Morrow has served as an essential senior staff member in the UNF Department for the past decade.
Morrow originally joined the UNF athletics staff in July 2011 and previously served as senior associate athletic director for development, external and financial operations. He also served as the Athletics Department’s chief financial officer where he oversaw all financial matters and business operations.
In addition, Morrow served as the director of the Osprey Club where he oversaw fundraising efforts and development staff. Under his leadership, the athletics department set records for both increased total reportable revenue and increased total donor count as well as established all-time revenue records in annual fundraising events.
Morrow developed and managed the $13 million budget for the University’s sports programs and support areas as well as supervised the day-to-day business operations of the Athletics Department. He led external operations, including marketing, sponsorships, communications, ticket office, video production and broadcast operations as well as set alltime revenue records in corporate sponsorships, ticket sales, licensing, merchandise sales and concessions.
As athletic director, Morrow is responsible for the management and operation of the Athletics Department that includes 19 competitive NCAA Division I teams with membership in the ASUN Conference and the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) for swimming, over 300 studentathletes and 150 employees. This position is an integral role within UNF President David Szymanski’s senior leadership team with responsibility for developing and administrating the University’s elite athletic programming and overseeing athletics personnel, scholarships, budgets and prudent fiscal management.
Prior to joining UNF, Morrow served as assistant athletic director, facilities operations and events at the University of Maryland from 2005-11. He spent five years (2000-05) as the Event Coordinator, Security Supervisor, Building Coordinator and Accounting Assistant for the University of Florida’s Stephen C. O’Connell Center before his time at Maryland. Morrow also worked stints with UF’s Department of Recreation and University Athletic Association in the area of Operations and Facilities.
Morrow received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Florida (2003) and also holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland University College (2009).
A native of Jacksonville and graduate of Nease High School, Morrow is married to the former Roslyn Moore. The couple are proud parents of three children, daughter, Ameila, and twin sons, Jack and Cole.
