It started with a desire to change the industry. To merge property and design and elevate a historically staid sector into something genuinely different.

Then came the name. Livingroom. Not a room within a house, not two words, but onea brand that celebrates the spaces in which we live, no matter how big or small they may be.

That explains the concentric circles. Not a target, although we are entirely focused on what we do. Design-led property was not the norm twenty years ago, so we set out to raise the bar and establish new standards. Today we are proud to be working across the Channel Islands as the only locally born pan-island estate agent.

We began in Guernsey and helped reshape the industry. Without arrogance, we are proud of the impact that has had, reflected in local, national and international awards. Over the past eight years we have seen the same transformation in Jersey, proving it was never a fluke.

This year marks twenty years of Livingroom. We are grateful to everyone who has believed in the brand, trusted the vision and placed their home in our hands. Our role has never simply been to sell property, but to present each home in its best light, find the right buyer and communicate clearly from start to finish.

We have never aimed to sell the most. Volume is for those focused purely on numbers. Our focus has always been on the quality of the work we do. Not every deal goes to plan, and some fall away through circumstances beyond control, but every experience has shaped who we are today.

We are not for everyone, and we are not intrinsically linked to every Channel Islander, and that is absolutely fine. After twenty years we are comfortable in our own skin.

If you care about your property, it is likely our paths have crossed over the years. If not, we would love them to, as we move into the next chapter with some meaningful evolutions in the way property is experienced across the islands.

We will be marking our twentieth year throughout 2026, not with large parties, but by giving something back. We will begin with twenty acts of kindness across Guernsey and Jersey. Watch this space for more and follow us to be part of the story.
