1. Train faculty, staff and students involved in recruitment activities. 2. Increase coordination across units to recruit diverse students. 3. Allow applicants to make the case for how their background may help diversify our learning community and (eventually) the public health workforce.

4. Contact all admits by phone after they’re admitted. Include current students in the effort. 5. Involve current students in admissions process in significant ways. 6. Employ second-look strategy to ensure bias has not influenced a decision.
