Moldova has ratified 7 of the 9 core human rights treaties and 5 of the 8 optional protocols open for signature as of the end of 2011. Ratification of the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families and the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance were both not completed as of the end of 2011. Moldova has thus far accepted international complaints procedures only concerning the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. Moldova has imposed reservations related to treaty applicability with respect to the territory of the Transnistrian region on several treaties, but it has committed to withdraw these reservations.
