PHSA LET'S STOP HIV TOGETHER PANEL DISCUSSION

The Public Health Student Association (PHSA) and Dr. Harkness hosted an info session on Tuesday, April 19. They partnered with Milton, a Health Educator and LGBTQ health advocate at University of Puerto Rico-Graduate School of Public Health. He is implementing a CDC HIV prevention campaign called "Let's Stop HIV Together" in Puerto Rico and in Florida. The goal of this event is to promote HIV related information, testing, and working against the stigma. UMiami being a latinx serving institution, the focus is on Latinx and LGBTQ+ populations as they/we are disproportionally affected by HIV.
