PROJECT-BASED LEARNING

DIVERSITY MAKES A DIFFERENCE

The Business Internship Program jump-starts students’ professional aspirations by integrating practical work experience and career interests with academic studies. Participating students have the opportunity to begin building their career network and familiarize themselves with business culture. In some cases, completion of an internship leads to a full-time job offer immediately after graduation. Internships can be taken for credit toward degree requirements. Many classes center on team-based projects. This collaborative, interactive approach to learning draws directly from today’s most successful business practices in innovation, implementation, risk management, decisionmaking, and more.

INDIVIDUALIZED TEACHING

Small classrooms and an outstanding 15:1 student/faculty ratio mean you’ll have direct access to faculty expertise. More than instructors, faculty serve as mentors and collaborators committed to your success. Whether interacting with you face-to-face or online, faculty make themselves available to you before, during, and after class.

EDUCATION ABROAD PROGRAMS

The School of Management, in conjunction with International Global Studies, offers multiple opportunities for students to study abroad. We have partner business schools across the world where students can study a whole semester and transfer credits toward their BBA degree. In recent years students have visited: Germany, Croatia, China, India, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Taiwan and Russia. Students also have the opportunity to participate in short, 2-3 week study abroad trips.

The School of Management supports its students in many ways including scholarships. During the 2018/2019 academic year, SOM awarded over $163,000 to students to aid their educational goals. Scholarships were awarded to support single parents, students in study abroad opportunities, and merit based scholarships to reward high academic achievements.

Our BBA program attracts exceptional students from across the state, the nation, and the world. You’ll be exposed to the diverse experiences of classmates from a range of backgrounds, experiences and geographies. You’ll be able to use this exposure to improve critical thinking, problemsolving, and team-building in today’s diverse workplace.
