Für den Lebensmittelhändler SPAR entstand ein innovatives Supermarktkonzept nach aktuellsten Erkenntnissen: Der EUROSPAR-Markt in Oberndorf wurde von KISKA nach Briefing von SPAR für Umdasch entwickelt.

An innovative supermarket concept in line with the latest knowledge was developed for the food retailer SPAR. The EUROSPAR market in Oberndorf was designed by KISKA for Umdasch in accordance with a briefing from SPAR.

Der Markt überzeugt mit neu konzeptioniertem Frischebereich: Innovative Mittelraummöbel und Obstregale sorgen für Übersicht und einen Raum mit Marktplatzcharakter. Oberflächen in Edelstahl betonen die Hochwertigkeit der Präsentationssysteme. Der Eyecatcher schlechthin ist die Deckengestaltung der Feinkostabteilung. Das Prinzip der Markthalle wird hier durch das Ladenbaukonzept neu erfunden.

The branch has persuasive newly devised fresh-food areas: Innovative free-standing furniture and fruit shelving provide for a clear overview and a space with the feel of a marketplace. Stainlesssteel surfaces emphasise the high-grade qualities of the presentation systems.

The absolute eye-catcher is the ceiling design in the delicatessen section. Here, the market hall principle is reinvented by the shopfitting concept.

The Schreiber branch in Buchholz, Germany, is a very special Edeka outlet.

Here, across a full 2,000 square metres functionality meets emotional customer journeys. The unique concept bears all the hallmarks of an Umdasch design.

Auf dem Weg durch den Supermarkt entdecken die Kunden einzelne Stationen wie das Obst- und Gemüseangebot mit Marktplatzflair oder eine Frischetheke, die mit unterschiedlichen Materialien in Szene gesetzt wurde.

Die Spirituosenabteilung stellt einen weiteren Höhepunkt dar: Ein Deckenring mit integrierter Beleuchtung lenkt den Fokus auf die hier präsentierten Produkte.

On their paths through the supermarket, shoppers discover individual phases, such as the fruit & veg section with the feel of a marketplace or the fresh foods counter, where a variety of materials have been deployed to great effect.

Varitable is an individual table programme for all product ranges. Used as a tool for approaching the customer in an intelligent manner, the system forms the focal point within the store and can be combined with wall and centre-space furniture.

The tabletop programme is available in various wood-decor finishes with optional basic electric power supply for electric add-ons. A plug-on frame with individual components such as metal (magnetic film), wood, a grid, chalkboard or network-compatible screen provide for POS communication for sales promotions and informations.

NEW: The Varitable has recently undergone a relaunch: side tables of various heights and wicker baskets provide additional marketplace flair. Pull-out trays can be used to store add-ons that are not in use or for product presentation.

Both can be seen in REWE in Meckesheim. The various different store areas are separated from each other visually by means of graphics. Posters and new signs in the REWE corporate design provide the customer with easy orientation.

A marketplace that can be experienced with all the senses was created across the 2,500 square-metre sales area.

So auch bei REWE Meckesheim: Die zahlreichen Sortimentsbereiche werden mit Hilfe von Grafiken visuell voneinander getrennt. REWE 2020 – This major food retailer is counting on a new concept and at the same time on a new appearance.

After the implementation of 30 test markets in 2017, Umdasch has been chosen as the retailer's partner for concept and realisation of the new design. During the first quarter of 2018 alone the Store Makers will be completing 60 REWE markets with the new sales concept and its focus on freshness – a rollout par excellence. The main emphasis lies on increasing the length of stay with the help of accents underlining freshness in the style of a marketplace, as well as clearly marked zoning.

Nach der Umsetzung von 30 Testmärkten im Jahr 2017 hat sich Umdasch als fixer Partner für die Konzeption und Realisierung des neuen Designs qualifiziert. Alleine im ersten Quartal 2018 sollen die Store Makers 60 REWE-Märkte mit dem neuen frischzentrierten Vertriebskonzept realisieren – ein Rollout par excellence. Schwerpunkte liegen dabei auf der Erhöhung der Verweildauer mit Hilfe von Frischeakzenten im Marktplatzstil und gut sichtbaren Zonierungen.

Escape from the hustle and bustle, breathe deeply, enjoy and give time a breathing space – it was under precisely this motto that Umdasch realised Stiegl’s new gastronomic concept: "Zeitraum" in the McArthurGlen Designer Outlet in Salzburg, Austria. Following market research carried out by Umdasch, the Store Makers developed an exciting concept, in which the focus lies with the appreciation of beer in a natural living-room atmosphere.

Vertikale Bepflanzungen, gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten und Retro-Leuchten betonen das Casual Dining. Eine in dem Stiegl-Rot gehaltene Stiege als kleiner Wasserfall fungiert als Landmark im Shop und rundet das Konzept ab.

Vertical plantings, cosy seating areas and retro lighting emphasise the casual dining. A stairway in Stiegl red in the form of a small waterfall serves as a landmark in the restaurant and completes out the concept.

Und so präsentierten die Food Retail-Spezialisten von Umdasch neueste Highlights: Drei unterschiedliche Türme illustrierten das breit gefächerte Portfolio. Digital Retail inklusive.

In 2017 Umdasch Shopfitting participated again at EuroShop in Düsseldorf. This is how the Food Retail specialists from Umdasch presented themselves: three different towers illustrated the wide-ranging

Following the guiding principle “Trade brings change”, the Umdasch Shopfitting stand was designed to be changeable too. Even from afar the Umdasch Shopfitting stand dominated thanks to the height of its six-metre-high, semitransparent white curtains. They moved back and forth very slowly, revealing from time to time new glimpses of the stand.

Drei Türme präsentierten das breit gefächerte Portfolio der Division Food Retail – von klassischem Food über Health Stores bis hin zur Beauty-Kompetenz. Die kompakten Skulpturen zeigten vielseitige Ladenbau-Systeme mit analogen und digitalen Features für den ultimativen vertikalen Point-of-Sale.

Three towers presented the wide-ranging portfolio of the Food Retail Division – from classic food to health stores to beauty expertise. The compact sculptures showed versatile shopfitting systems with analogue and digital features for the ultimate vertical point-of -sale.

• Der Food Tower beschäftigte sich vor allem mit den Themen Marktplatz, Getränke und Regionalität.

• The Food Tower focused above all on themes of marketplace, drinks and regionality.

• Der zweite Turm zeigte das neue modulare Tischprogramm, genannt Varitable. Zusätzlich veranschaulichte ein Boxen-System in luftigen Höhen die „dritte Ebene“ dieses Turmes.

• The second tower showed the new modular table programme known as Varitable. In addition a box system higher up represented the “third level” of the tower.

• Der Care und Wellness Turm zeigte die Schwerpunkte Gesundheit und Schönheit. Auch hier wurden Inhalte auf verschiedenen Regalsystemen von Umdasch präsentiert.

Nach dem Leitsatz „Handel ist Wandel“ wurde auch der Messestand von Umdasch Shopfitting wandelbar gestaltet: Schon von Weitem dominierte die Höhe des Umdasch Shopfitting-Messestandes durch rund sechs Meter hohe semitransparente weiße Vorhänge. Diese bewegten sich ganz langsam und gewährten so von Zeit zu Zeit neue Einblicke in den Messestand.

Tens of thousands of visitors came to the Umdasch stand at EuroShop. They experienced at first hand how digital components are being incorporated into bricks-and-mortar retailing – in line with the motto “Love digital, love analogue”.

With the Virtual Reality glasses the customer can experience a virtual tour through the planned shop. At the push of a button the colours of the wall and floor change and so does the light atmosphere, the product range and much else – store planning in a new dimension!

The advance of digitalisation changes the purchase behaviour of consumers and creates new possibilities for bricksand-mortar retailing. New materials and processing methods facilitate new shopfitting concepts.

Identifying trends, linking them with one’s own ideas and using them to develop solutions: that is the aim of the Innovation Circle, a newly formed team of employees from a wide range of departments at Umdasch. They supply inputs regarding new production processes and technologies and at regular intervals fill the ideas funnel relating to online and offline retailing. These lead to the customer solutions of tomorrow.

Electronic Shelf Labeling System. der in Form einer geschlossenen Schienenlösung mit dem Regal verbunden. Da die Tags mit Strom versorgt werden, gehören Batterien mit eingeschränkter Lebensdauer der Vergangenheit an.

Umdasch and SES Imagotag developed an Electronic Shelf Labeling System together with SPAR. Here the individual price labels are linked to the shelf in the form of an integrated rail solution. Since the tags are supplied with power, batteries with a limited useful life are now a thing of the past.

3D-Modeling Der Vorteil der 3D-Drucker Technologie ist die sofortige Verfügbarkeit von Designmodellen. Auch Funktionstests komplexer Möbelkomponenten sind möglich. So kann die Kombination verschiedener Materialien und deren Passgenauigkeit anhand eines gedruckten Prototyps simuliert werden.

The advantage of 3D printer technology is the immediate availability of design models.

Umdasch Shop-Concept is renamed Umdasch Shopfitting and subsequently the core brands Umdasch Shopfitting and Assmann Ladenbau become the joint brand Umdasch Shopfitting.

Umdasch Shopfitting seals its structural transformation with four divisions:
