Direct Pathway into Teaching
For the first time, the Marsal School now offers first-year direct admission into the Educator Preparation Program (EPP). This means you can dive into your teaching journey from day one, connect with a network of students with interests similar to yours, and receive specialized academic and career advising.

Mentorship and Support through Early Career EPP graduates have a unique opportunity to become teaching residents—paid roles within Detroit Public Schools Community District, supported onsite by U-M faculty and mentor teachers for three additional years at no cost. This support system mirrors medical residencies and is unique in education.

For undergraduate families with household incomes of $125K and less and assets below $125K
NEW from the Go Blue Guarantee
TEACH BLUE COMMITMENT
The Marsal School provides additional financial support to students in the Educator Preparation Program.
EPP students who qualify for free tuition through the Go Blue Guarantee will now receive coverage for the full cost of attendance, including housing costs and fees.

Many Marsal students choose to complement their education degree by adding either a dual degree or minor. APPLICATION DEADLINES
Early Decision
Early Decision is a new option appropriate for students who are committed to attending U-M if they are admitted. If admitted to U-M through Early Decision, students must withdraw applications to all other colleges and universities.
Application Deadline: Nov. 1
Financial Aid Deadline: Nov. 15
Decision Date: By the end of December
Commitment Date: Jan. 6
Early Action
The Early Action option is best for students who are prepared to apply early and are interested in receiving an admissions decision early, but are still considering their college options.

Commitment Date: By May 1
Regular Decision
The Regular Decision option is the standard nonbinding application plan. Applying as a Regular Decision applicant provides students more time to complete their application and collect the required materials.
