Shamwari Game Reserve launches two-day Pro Photo Safari The 25 000 hectare, malaria-free Big 5 Shamwari Game Reserve situated a mere 75km from Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape of South Africa is proud to launch its new two-day Pro Photo Safari. The photo safari is lead by renowned photographers Iky and Ryan of Iky’s Photographic, who guide guests on a truly unique photographic safari at a cost of R5 000 per person per day (for a minimum of 2 days), with accommodation options at any of the six unique Shamwari lodges. The hotel’s executive chef Stephen Fraser together with celebrity chef Jenny Morris (aka The Giggling Gourmet) will ensure that guests are treated to an unforgettable culinary experience. Arrive at the hotel on the afternoon of 9 August and check into your luxury five-star accommodation for the night. Executive Chef Stephen Fraser, with Jenny Morris as the evening’s MC, will tantalize your taste buds with a delicious and beautifully prepared three-course dinner and cooking demonstration in the Governors Hall Restaurant. Wines for the evening will be sponsored by Lanzerac Wine Estate. After dinner, enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure before turning in for the night. Enjoy a hearty hotel breakfast the next morning before making your way to the Lanzerac Tasting Room for a not to be missed cook-off between Stephen and Jenny, which you’ll be able to enjoy as a light lunch with the estate’s Mrs English Chardonnay before making your way back home.
