We advocate on behalf of hosts and property managers by engaging with policymakers, government agencies and other stakeholders. We campaign on regulatory, legal and planning matters all over the UK. There are huge regional variations creating massive challenges for all of our members.

Our efforts have resulted in protecting the sector throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, securing important concessions from the Scottish Government in the design of the short-term lets licensing scheme, and ensuring that licensing in Wales will present minimal burdens to our operators.

We have called for a light-touch registration scheme in England and now that the Government is finally implementing this initiative, we are working extremely closely with officials on the design of the scheme to ensure that it will be low-cost, easy to use, and increase trust in the industry.
