Exploring UK Guardians’ Achievements in Private Fostering
UK Guardian’s expertise in private fostering highlights our commitment to flexibility in addressing diverse student needs. While boarding schools remain a fantastic choice for international students, we acknowledge that they aren’t the sole option. Celebrating varied choices, we guide students and parents exploring top day schools in the UK. Our team’s collective extensive experience in private fostering includes highly experienced and trained staff, a deep understanding of the processes involved, with close collaboration among schools, parents, homestay families, and local authorities. This ensures meticulous attention to each student’s needs, guaranteeing a thriving environment for every student.
Since joining us in September, JL (aged 14) has seamlessly integrated into his homestay host family in Hove, evolving into an indispensable member of the household. Remarkably, he has even earned the distinction of becoming the family dog’s favourite member!

In September, JD (aged 15) joined us, enrolling at Ashbourne College in London. Flourishing in her newfound independence, she navigates the city daily using the tube, practicing valuable skills for life. Julia collaborates closely with her dedicated guardian angel for unwavering support on her journey towards personal growth and academic success.
Opting for a different cultural experience, student IP (aged 15) chose not to board at Kings International in Canterbury and instead immersed himself in the warmth of a homestay host family environment to delve deeper into British culture. Revelling in the freedom to spend weekends with friends, who, like him, are day students, he also relishes the option to participate in school events during evenings and weekends at his discretion.
What is private fostering?
Private fostering is a private arrangement between a parent and a carer. When a child under 16 (or 18 if disabled) is cared for and provided with accommodation, by an adult who is not a relative, for 28 days or more, it is called private fostering.
