Enhancing Kentucky’s national presence is the SEC’s new unprecedented 15-year deal with ESPN. Beginning in 2009, at least 60 SEC women’s basketball games will be available on national or regional television. UK HOOPS

• SEC teams will have a minimum of EIGHT games (16 appearances) on ESPN or ESPN2 and one of the networks also will televise the conference tournament championship game. • ESPNU also will feature a minimum of EIGHT games (16 appearances) by SEC teams, in addition to the women’s conference tournament semifinals.

KENTUCKY

• ESPN Regional Television (known as the SEC Network) will syndicate ONE game-of-the-week during the regular season. • In addition to the ESPN games, FS South and CSS will air a minimum of 16 games each.

OUTLOOK

• The NCAA Tournament 1st/2nd rounds will be on FS South or CSS (decision has not been made yet); the Semifinals will be on ESPNU and the championship on ESPN or ESPN2.

WILDCATS

• In addition to the SEC/ESPN TV pacts, the Big Blue Sports Network will feature full-game, tape-delayed action of at least FIVE UK women’s basketball home games that are not televised by ESPN. The network serves eight over-the-air stations and Fox Sports Net South on cable.
