To Widow, How Does that Work?
To Widow, How Does that Work? What helps if nothing helps?
Lisette Schuitemaker
A book that offers support to women who have lost a loved one Personal stories but also a way to move on Also the perfect guide for friends and relatives to better understand and support widows
Every grieving process is unique, but are there any similarities you will have to deal with if you lose a loved one? For her new book author Lisette Schuitemaker spoke to women of different ages who became widows, sometimes very unexpectedly and sometimes after a long ilness. Fifteen women tell in To Widow, How Does that Work? about the day that tore their lives apart, how, after parting, they made decisions and reinvented their lives.
As different as the women may seem at first, Lisette did see that they actually mourn quite similarly. This book comprises the stories and experiences of these women, aimed at making sure you do not feel alone or crazy as a widow, or helping you understand and support widows better. Because, as one of the widows says in the book, "Even though no one can help, being there for me helped."
