more than $12,000 with annual Walk-a-Thon fundraiser

Teachers and students battle it out with Silly String during the school’s Walk-a-Thon assembly on Thursday, Oct. 17. Students who raised more than $75 earned the opportunity to Silly String the teachers. This year’s Walk-a-Thon raised more than $12,000 to be used for school events, books for students and more.

The Clark Elementary student council attended the BYU leadership conference on Wednesday, Oct. 16. They learned about being kind to others and the traits of good leadership, including communicating clearly, being flexible and resilient, staying positive, “walking the walk” and serving others. Students of the Month recognized at Aspen Elementary EVANSTON — During the month of September, students at Aspen Elementary discussed,practiced and demonstrated appropriate behavior in all areas of the school.

In each class, a student of the month award was presented to one student, identified by his or her teacher. September students of the month were presented with a candy award and a certificate of achievement.

Aspen Principal Steve Petersen said, “Congratulations to all winners for being awesome Aspen citizens and setting great examples for all Aspen students to follow.”
