Since 1967, UIH-Mile Square has been doing just that, and over the decades, has expanded its services throughout Chicago. Today, Mile Square provides a range of medical, dental, mental health and social services to more than 17,600 individuals every year, regardless of their ability to pay. As a part of the University of Illinois Hospital since 1990, Mile Square also provides its patients with access to one of the most prominent academic medical centers in the country. Some of the best trained physicians, nurses, certified nurse midwives and pharmacists provide patient care — all dedicated to changing medicine for good.
