The WWAMI Medical Education Program is offered in partnership between the University of Washington School of Medicine and the host universities throughout the five-state regional system. Medical students from Idaho complete their first year of medical training at the University of Idaho, Moscow campus, and then complete the remainder of their medical training in Seattle, Boise, rural Idaho communities, or training sites throughout the WWAMI region. The UI WWAMI Program is offered jointly with the Washington State University WWAMI Program and offers first-year medical students the opportunities of training with the combined biomedical faculties, while making use of the teaching, research and training facilities on both campuses. UI WWAMI students also complete their first clinical training rotations with local physicians, clinics and hospitals in Moscow and the Palouse.
