UIC Choral Ensembles
The UIC Choirs actively engage in choral music through ensemble singing, study of the varied repertoire and the development of artistic expression. Music majors and non-music majors, together, become engaged in the art of choral music through a variety of well-known and lesser-known com- posers of the canon, works that celebrate cultures from around the world, and musical activities designed to advance individual musicianship and that of the choral ensemble. We are an accepting space for anyone who wishes to join regardless of race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or musical background. The UIC Choirs offer opportunities for student leader- ship, service, and community, while gaining a stronger appreciation for the choral arts and its relationship to the larger society.
