There’s an internal connection that every single titan posses, something that brings every single person together.

Whether it’s the student section cheering on the team to victory, or the theater club performing acts of Shakespeare while an awestruck audience applauds, whether it’s the staff trying their hardest to improve the school to make it the best it can be, or the parents fully involved in extracurricular activities.

Being a Titan is a different experience, a different feeling. It affects every individual in separate ways, but it affects every individual as a whole.

Your best friend is a Titan, and that girl in your math class you don’t know the name of is a Titan, the star athlete of the football team is a Titan, the lead actress in theater is a Titan and your favorite teacher is a Titan, YOU are a Titan. We are all connected.

TITANS KICK IT UP A NOTCH BY BRINGING HOME THE DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP

Anxiety filled the stands while the spectators looked on from above. It was the district championship with the score 49-47, Titans carrying the lead but not by a lot. The fourth quarter was almost over with 2 minutes projected on the scoreboards. Panthers had the ball at the 10-yard line, Titans fearing a touchdown by the opponents, which would put the final score over and the Panthers with the championship.

“We thought they had us, we were so afraid that they were going win since their offense was so good,” Caitlyn Jenner said.

In the last second, the MVP of Brighthouse, Oprah, who has a kicking average of 7, won the last goal by kicking it into the goal post. Putting the Titans over by 1 point raining in the district championship.

“We felt pressure every game to bring home the W. It pushed us to try and win for the school,” Cody Banks said.

Although we lost a midseason game, the team pushed harder despite all the negatives that came with the year. The outcome of the season combined with the district win, made the team push harder for next year to not only win every game they play, but to win states.

“Since we’re losing little seniors, I believe next year we can even take the team all the way to states. We’re proud to represent Xavier High and bring them the trophy,” junior Emma Stone said.

“This season has been one for the books, with our district win, I can’t wait to see what next year holds,” Styles said.

HANDS UP Sophomore Johnny Depp throws his arms to the sky in protest against a bad call. “You’re not always going to win every battle, so I’ve just learned to shake off bad calls instead of letting it affect me like it used to,” Depp said.

“My inner superhero comes out when I’m on the field,” sophomore Ben Stiller said.

“I love the anticipation of the ball before the play and what I can do to help get a goal,” junior Ashton Kutcher said.

Usher to review game strategies. “We’re so blessed to have a coach who cares so much about the success of his team and each individual player,” junior Khole Kardashian said.

QUICK BREAK Seniors Chad Michael Murray and Hilary Duff sit on the sidelines reminsicing about the season. “Nothing feels better than being on a winning team,” Murray said.

“Our defense is the best it’s been in years and was named Best Defense of Volusia, it’s an honor to be apart of that,” senior Justin Timberlake said.
