MASTER OF ARTS IN ARTS LEADERSHIP THIS PROGRAM OFFERS THE ONLY GRADUATE DEGREE OF ITS KIND IN THE REGION. The Kathrine G. McGovern College of the Arts’ Master of Arts in Arts Leadership Program (M.A.A.L.) is a launch pad for tomorrow’s arts influencers. This unique degree program offers core classes that focus on financial management, public administration, fundraising, marketing, strategic planning, public relations and entrepreneurship in the arts. Our teachers are creative leaders who are active in the field and work in Houston’s arts community. The city of Houston serves as a “learning laboratory” that gives students hands-on opportunities in the vibrant, local arts landscape. Students enrolled full-time have the option to complete the degree requirements within two years. As a professional graduate degree, the program is intentionally designed to accommodate students who are working professionals. Those who wish to continue full-time or part-time employment may complete the program over five years as all core courses are offered during evening hours.
