Concerts will take place on the second Wednesday of the month (starting on Wednesday 12 October) in the UEA Music Centre and performers will include UEA Music Award holders and scholars, as well as established musicians. Doors will open at 1.05pm and tickets are free. Just turn up and enjoy the music

Massing more than 150 performers on stage, comprising students, staff and members of the local community, the choir and orchestra will perform music by Richard Strauss (Aus Italien) and Giacomo Puccini (Preludio Sinfonico and Messa di Gloria), which open a window onto a thousand-year vista of Italy

Under the direction of renowned conductor Tom Primrose, the 30-strong chamber choir will perform a programme of seasonal a capella vocal gems. The concert is free to attend, however, places are limited and must be booked online in advance

The Sainsbury Centre presents a major new exhibition exploring the enduring appeal of ancient Egypt in art and design from the ancient past to the present day Over 150 works drawn from collections in the UK and internationally examine how ancient Egypt has shaped cultural imagination. From antiquity, when the Great Pyramid was revered as a wonder of the ancient world, to the Cleopatra of Shakespeare’s stage, this ground-breaking exhibition explores the ongoing engagement with ancient Egypt and charts its many forms across centuries of art and design. The exhibition examines how the iconic motifs and visual styles of Egypt have been re-imagined and re-invented over time – revealing a history closely entwined with conquest and colonial politics Tickets: £14

As well as formal sculpture gardens, the Park offers the tranquillity of the Broad and Yare River Valley and dense urban modernist architecture, designed by leading architects such as Norman Foster, Denys Lasdun and Rick Mather

The natural environment includes a wide range of fauna and flora including a number of remarkable ancient oaks and is home to a population of wild rabbits and rare and endangered species
