I was responsible for creating one of the first kit companies for the arts and crafts world. The kit company grew 15 times in 7 years, from 10 members to 150 members monthly. The kits were a creative way to use up product that was not moving in the store and then using a design team to market those products. The kit company had three levels and there were also two sets of kits each month- scrapbook and altered items. Kits ranged from $20-60 a month and membership grew quickly resulting in a waiting list.
