in the first two games of the season. Lamb went for 30 in the opener against Columbia and followed that up with 20 against Wagner. Napier scored 21 in each of the first two games of the year. LAMB FOR 30 IN OPENER: Sophomore Jeremy Lamb became only the third Husky under Jim Calhoun to reach the 30-point mark in a season opener. Ray Allen vs. TCU in 1995-96 and Donyell Marshall vs. Towson State in 1993-94 were the previous to accomplish the feat. Lamb is the 16th different player under Calhoun to reach the 30-point mark.

HUSKIES SIGN CALHOUN: UConn received a signed letter of intent from Omar Calhoun, a 6-3, 185 lbs. shooting guard from Christ the King HS in Brooklyn, N.Y., on November 9. Omar Calhoun is rated among the consensus top-30 players in the country for the Class of 2012.
