All about options
Enjoy all the benefits of a prestigious public research university in a small college setting. Choose from UConn’s 125+ majors, completing your first 54 credits (typically two years) at UConn Avery Point and then seamlessly transitioning to UConn’s main campus in Storrs to finish your bachelor’s degree. Or, select one of our four-year majors and complete your degree entirely at UConn Avery Point.

ENGLISH
The English major at UConn Avery Point builds a strong foundation in literary and rhetorical analysis, developing writing and critical thinking skills.
MARINE SCIENCES
Study the science of the coastal environment and its relationship to society through a curriculum that integrates marine biology, chemistry, geology, and physics with policy, law, and economics. Three in four marine sciences students engage in research before graduation.
MARITIME STUDIES
This interdisciplinary and experiential major lets you explore how the world’s waterways influence local, national, and international issues.
