Department sessions and comprehensive multi-disciplinary engineering sessions (ideal for undecided majors) will depart beginning at 10:00 a.m. and will run approximately one hour. The last session departs at 11:45 a.m.
Student ambassadors will lead you through our engineering facilities for brief informational presentations, and are ready to answer questions about the various programs we offer. Pre-registration was preferred, however on-site registration is possible on a spaceavailable basis.

Everyone can benefit from taking the time to examine their options, whether they’re completely exploratory or already declared. However, preconceived assumptions and myths about majors prevent students from being able to take full advantage of the process. This presentation will focus on the importance of elevating the student approach to major exploration by acknowledging and correcting these misconceptions and demonstrating that choosing a major isn’t quite so major.

This presentation addresses UConn’s nationally recognized approach to holistic student development through First Year Experience (FYE) courses, Peer Mentoring, the Academic Achievement Center, Supplemental Instruction, and Learning Communities. Join a 60-minute walking tour led by a student tour guide. Get a peek at what Huskies enjoy most — modern facilities, a dynamic campus community, and (literally) countless paths to take. As part of the campus tour experience, guests are invited to view a room within our Northwest residential community. Residential Life staff will greet guests and answer questions regarding life on campus.
Short on time? Shippee Residence Hall (SPRH, E7) will feature a model room for families who want to view a residence hall and may not have the time commitment for a full campus tour.

The SRC is UConn’s award winning, state of the art facility “where the student body develops.” Home to the latest fitness equipment, six multi-function courts, a two-pool aquatic center, an indoor running track, a 5,000-squarefoot climbing center, and five group exercise studios, it is the heart of our active campus. Students can join a wide variety of programs throughout the year including over 120 hours of weekly group fitness classes, 100 annual outdoor adventures, and 37 competitive Club Sports teams.
Tours depart from the North Quad entrance every 15 minutes. Last tour departs at 2:15 p.m.

At nearly 1,500 square feet, the UConn Innovation Zone provides students, faculty, and staff with the tools, equipment, and guidance to create and innovate when inspiration strikes. Community members gain access to prototyping equipment including 3D printers, vinyl cutters, table and band saws, laser cutters, hand tools, as well as our textile and electronics stations.
New this fall, the Innovation Zone has added the Emerging Technology Center (ETC) and Recording & Editing Center (REC), providing opportunities to explore the fields of robotics, VR, gaming, podcasting, digital media, and more. Stop by to tour all that the UConn Innovation Zone has to offer and connect with Huskies as they share their experience as 'makers' on campus.

With over 6,500 works of art, Connecticut's state art museum presents exhibitions and holds a variety of art-related special events.
First-year applicants must apply online through the Common Application or apply Coalition on Scoir. The UConn Application is recommended for transfer applicants.
Applications are reviewed using a holistic approach for both first-year and transfer applicants. Consideration is given to the entire application, including grade point average, class rank, SAT or ACT score (if provided; UConn is a test-optional institution through fall 2026), required essay, extracurricular activities, and optional letters of recommendation. This allows us to gain a full understanding and measurement of an applicant's potential to be a successful UConn Husky.
