To the UCOM and Associates premium carnival experience, brought to you by UCOM Carnival, in association with Socaholic, Onyx Mas, Kenvee, One Paradise x Goddess Glam Lounge and Wassiville. For Notting Hill Carnival 2024 we present The Great Silk Road.
UCOM Carnival continuously strives to improve and enhance your overall road experience.
This booklet contains all the important information needed to make your time with us something to remember, so please read it and keep it safe.
On both Sunday 25 August and Monday 26 August the starting location will be:

The band will end once we turn left back onto Ladbroke Grove at the junction of Kensington Park Gardens.

Drinks will not be served when the trucks are turning corners. Please avoid being at the sides or front of the truck when the truck is turning.
If you become unwell or suffer any type of injury, please find and inform a member of the UCOM Management team or Security so we can help you.
Please consume alcohol responsibly and in moderation, and drink plenty of water.
If you are seen to be overly intoxicated and/or disorderly, you will not be served and may be removed from the band.
Do not attempt to climb or sit on the trucks, UCOM management or Security will remove you.
Your safety is our priority, please do not accept food or drink from outside of our band as we provide this for your safety.
Please do not store or leave personal or costume items on the trucks. UCOM Carnival and Associates do not accept any liability for any loss or damage. UCOM Management also reserve the right to remove these items.
Carnival is all about positive vibes and having a good time.
Help us to keep the good vibes flowing by observing these rules.
UCOM Carnival and associates is a “Safe Space” for all our masqueraders. We do not tolerate violence, abuse, hate speech or discrimination based on ability, gender, race or sexuality.
This type of behaviour will result in your wristband being removed and you will be ejected from the band immediately.
On both Carnival Sunday and Monday the band will be completely roped off and marshalled by security to ensure your safety and only bonified masqueraders are allowed within the band experience.
Carnival Sunday 25 August 2024: UCOM Carnival Blue Devil – Sunday Dutty Mas experience in collaboration with Dusk Carnival, Kenvee and Sons of Soca.
Pre-start lime will start at 10:00am. At approximately 12 Noon the band will move off, at which point paint can be used.
To be worn on Carnival Sunday only. Your Sunday wristband was issued with your package. Ensure you keep your wristbands safe. If lost, there is a replacement fee of £50 for the Sunday wristband.
We have updated the Dutty Mas participation rules for 2024. Please read the following carefully:
• No paint or powder will be distributed until we have moved off.
• Paint and powder will be distributed by UCOM Team/Staff.
• Paint and powder should only be applied to participating members of the band.
• Do not throw paint or powder on or near the public, Trucks, Police, or Security/Stewards.
• Paint and powder can only be used on Ladbroke Grove and after we have passed the judging zone. Do not throw any paint or powder at the judging zone. If you are found doing this you will be removed from the band immediately.
• Please do not throw paint or powder at the trucks.
• UCOM Carnival and associates do not tolerate violence, abuse, hate speech or discrimination based on ability, gender, race or sexuality. This type of behaviour will result in your wristband being removed and you will be ejected from the band.
• Do not climb on the trucks. If you are found climbing on a truck, security personnel will remove you.
• Anyone found to be in the band without a wristband, irrespective of if they are wearing a t-shirt, will be removed immediately.
• 7:30am – 9:00am Breakfast will be available (we will continue to serve breakfast from the truck until 10:30am).
• 9:00am The bar opens.
• 9:30am Band moves off promptly in section order (please see below). You are advised to meet the band for breakfast and leave with us to have a full experience. We will endeavour to be on the road for as long as physically possible until we have completed the route.
• 12:30pm – 1:30pm (approximately) Lunch will be served.
• After the judging point snacks and patties will be served.
Your Monday wristbands were issued with your package. Ensure you keep your wristbands safe. If lost, there is a replacement fee of £75 for the Monday wristband.
The following wristbands are for use on CARNIVAL MONDAY ONLY.
For use on Monday only and entitles the Masquerader access to the band breakfast, unlimited drinks and snacks.

Wristband Green - Vegan Meal

Option 1 – Jerk BBQ Chicken served with Mac and Cheese, Steamed Veg and Plantain.
Option 2 – Brown Stewed Chicken, served with Mac and Cheese, Steamed Veg and Plantain.
Fish: Akee and Saltfish served with Mac and Cheese, Steamed Veg and Plantain.
Vegan: Curried Potatoes, served with Pumpkin Rice, Steamed Veg and Plantain.
Please note we may run out of your first choice, but we will have ample food for the entire band. Please do not ask for fish or vegan options if you did not order this.
UCOM Rum Punch – Wray and Nephew and Premium Fruit Juices. Sprits – Hennessy, Absolut Vodka, Wray and Nephew, Cockspur, Bacardi White, Bacardi Gold Spiced, Johnny Walker Black, Jack Daniels, Malibu and Disaronno.
Wine/Prosecco – Rose, Moscato and Prosecco.
The band will move off from the starting point in section order, and again, move through judging point in section order. Below is each section’s number as well as the order of the trucks.
At the start point and just before judging point there will be a steward holding a banner with the section name and number. This is your cue to get into section order. You are welcome to roam the band when there are no banners on display.
