MEDIA INFORMATION UCLA BASKETBALL ON TELEVISION, RADIO For the seventh straight season, UCLA men’s basketball games will be produced by the UCLA Sports Network from IMG, with AM 570 Fox Sports LA in Los Angeles serving as the flagship station for the network. This is the 18th year of UCLA’s partnership with AM 570 Fox Sports LA owner Clear Channel. Other stations on the UCLA Sports Network from IMG include KXEX (1550 AM) in Fresno and KSLK (96.1 FM) in Visalia. In 2014-15, all 31 regular-season basketball games will be televised live. The Bruins will have at least 11 games broadcast by the ESPN family of networks. Four games will be televised by FOX Sports, and 12 will be carried by Pac-12 Networks. CBS will televise UCLA’s game against Kentucky on Dec. 20. Hall of Fame broadcaster Chris Roberts (talk@chrisrobertsonline.net) enters his 23rd year as the “Voice of the Bruins” and his 34th season broadcasting NCAA Division I sports in Los Angeles. Roberts was honored with the Chick Hearn Award for best “play-by-play” by the Southern California Sports Broadcasters on Jan. 28, 2013. Roberts, a Hall of Famer of the same organization (inducted on Jan. 30, 2012), has broadcast more NCAA Division I games on Los Angeles radio since 1982 than any other broadcaster. Prior to joining the Bruins in the fall of 1992, Roberts served as the voice of Long Beach State for 10 years and one with Cal State Fullerton. During that time, he was the sports director at KFI/KOST 103 FM. A four-time Golden Mike winner, he also handles the play-by-play duties for UCLA football. He has also authored two books, Stadium Stories: UCLA Bruins and UCLA Football Vault (co-authored with Bill Bennett). An eight-time nominee for the Southern California Broadcasters Association “Play-by-Play Broadcaster of the Year” award, Roberts is a voter for both the Heisman Trophy and the Wooden Award.

Tracy Murray, who starred on the court at UCLA from 1990-1992, will be in his seventh season as a color analyst alongside Roberts. A 12-year NBA veteran, Murray ranks ninth on UCLA’s all-time scoring list (1,792 points in 98 career games). After helping lead the UCLA baskeball program to three consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (1990, 1991, 1992), Murray was selected No. 18 in the first round of the 1992 NBA Draft by the San Antonio Spurs.
