Building Equity For All

At UCLA Extension, one of our key strategic priorities is to provide access, equity, and inclusion in all of our offerings. Our academic programs empower people to build better futures for themselves and their communities. This is a mission we do not take lightly, knowing that the impact will positively transform the demographic makeup of the fields and industries in which our students work.

For this reason, we established the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Committee, a body that consists of representatives from UCLA Extension students, instructors, and staff. The committee’s charge is to foster and guide the development of a more inclusive and equity-based culture at UCLA Extension that continues to support and strengthen diverse backgrounds, identities, and points of view.
