Most advanced specialty care close to home • Poudre Valley Hospital opened the UCHealth Cancer Center in Fort Collins, bringing the most advanced cancer care to the region in a new, patient-centric and multidisciplinary center. • With a Level III trauma center and the only Level III neonatal intensive care unit between Denver and Billings, MT, the hospital’s trauma and ICU services give northern Colorado residents peace of mind and exceptional care close to home.

Building community connections •

Poudre Valley Hospital is the centerpiece of community health programs in northern Colorado. Our educators have been keeping the region healthy for more than 20 years. All programs meet community needs through evidence-based best practices for preventive services, chronic disease management, proper health promotion, safety and injury prevention.

UCHealth employees give back UCHealth employees have personally contributed more than $1 million to the UCHealth Cancer Center’s construction, with UCHealth matching funds boosting those contributions by another $500,000.

• In 2015, UCHealth held its third men’s health event series called March MANness to promote the importance of disease prevention and early detection screenings. Each year, this event has been attended by close to 200 community members in northern Colorado.

Moving care forward Poudre Valley Hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies and Colorado State University launched an official effort to combine resources and personnel to bring CSU research to patients faster and more efficiently. The agreement gives the hospitals and CSU access to each other’s clinical trials, and hospital physicians are able to act as coinvestigators for sponsored research at the university. The initial areas targeted for research are cancer, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, diabetes and metabolic disease, neuroscience, sports medicine and women’s health issues.
