-About the Guest ArtistInke Kesseler was born in the Netherlands and received her music Diploma at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. She studied piano with Professor Georg Vasarhelyi at the Royal Academy of Music in Denmark. She now resides in Odense, Denmark. Ms. Kesseler taught piano at the Royal Academy of Music from 1972 to 1988. Since 1990 she has been on the piano faculty of the Odense Music School (Odense Musikskole or Carl Nielsen School of Music) in Denmark and as the coordinator at the Music School's talent line and MGK (Musical Basic Course). She also teaches piano and serves as an accompanist at the Danish National Academy of Music in Odense (Syddansk Musikkonservatorium or SDMK). Being one of the most respected and influential piano teachers at the Odense Music School, many of her piano students who graduated from the School have been accepted into different Danish Music Conservatories as piano majors. Many of them regularly participate in the piano competitions in Denmark. Currently she is an active member of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA). Besides being a dedicated piano teacher, Ms. Kesseler has been a solid assistant in piano with the Odense Symphony Orchestra and has recorded with the orchestra on many CDs. She is a frequent pianist for the Pro MUSICA chamber music concerts and the regular pianist for the Odense Symphony Orchestra Philharmonic Choir. Ms. Kesseler performed with the South Jutland Symphony Orchestra, participated in the Haydn Festival in Vejle in 2009, and toured with piano quartet ENSEMBLE 4 to Scotland, England, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Greenland, Germany and Holland. She served as a pianist in Con Sordino, the ensemble of salon music and had two CD recordings with Nordic and Danish salon music.
