Welcome Home The UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center is celebrating more than a decade of memories and a vibrant future ahead. A versatile venue for business and campus leaders, it is also a gathering place for celebrating and remembering. Perfect Location Located on the campus of the University of Central Florida, across from the CFE Arena, the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center offers easy access to major highways and is less than 30 minutes from Orlando International Airport and the theme park area.

About the Venue The UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center is a unique venue because of our team and the mission we serve. For more than a decade, we have had the honor of hosting celebrated life-events, corporate conferences and university functions all while upholding one of the university’s core values: providing students with experiencebased learning opportunities. Under the mentorship of our fulltime management team, our professional student event team will lend its expertise to make every component of your event exceptional.

Modern Meetings GRAND BALLROOM The Grand Ballroom may be divided into two or three separate rooms. Each room features superior acoustics and audio visual capability with electronically retractable screens. The ballroom has three sets of glass French doors that provide open access to Knights Terrace.

DR. HITT LIBRARY The library is just off the main lobby and serves as the perfect space for video shoots, bridal parties, green room and private meetings. Plush sofas, piano, ample seating and a vaulted natural wood ceiling create an inviting and relaxing atmosphere.

Executive Appeal SGA BOARDROOM The SGA Boardroom has a capacity for more than 50 guests. A beautiful maple wood conference table highlights the room while high-back executive leather chairs make this space perfect for high-level meetings. This room features a wet bar, refrigerator and a state-of-the-art audiovisual system with an integrated projector, retractable screen and automated lighting system.

MANGLARDI-KNIGHT PATIO Glass French doors lead to the outdoor brick-paved patio from the Grand Ballroom or Ferrell-Fisher Lobby. The outdoor patio offers an open and shaded space. Located on the east side of the grounds, the patio is surrounded by tropical palm trees offering a spectacular view of Memory Mall. This space has a covered area perfect for a band or cocktail reception. A misting system provides warm-weather relief.

FERRELL-FISHER LOBBY The contemporary-inspired architecture and lush landscaped walkway create a grand entrance, featuring floor-to-ceiling glass windows, granite flooring and black leather seating. Perfect for a guest check-in area or stylish cocktail reception, this is a space in which guests can enjoy hand-passed hors d’oeuvres in style.

Wedding Receptions THE BEGINNING OF SOMETHING WONDERFUL The UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center boasts a beautiful Grand Ballroom, stellar service and a warm atmosphere that will wow your guests upon arrival. The contemporary-inspired architecture and lush landscaped walkway create a grand entrance for your guests. Friends and family can gather in the lobby for a cocktail reception. The lobby features floor-to-ceiling glass windows and slate flooring.

BALLROOM DUO

The Grand Ballroom is the centerpiece of the venue, boasting 4,800 square feet of space. It accommodates more than 200 guests for dinner and dancing, making this space one of the largest ballrooms in East Orlando. The ballroom has glass French doors leading to Knights Terrace commemorative brick patio, which overlooks the Alumni Lawn. Our packages include the screen and projectors to play a video or display a monogram.

These two ballrooms are every bit as inviting as the Grand Ballroom, yet more intimate.

Seating for more than 100 guests for dinner and dancing; access to the terrace provides guests an enjoyable evening under the stars.

Knights Terrace Leave a lasting memory with a custom-engraved brick handlaid into the beautiful Knights Terrace at the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center!

Available in three configurations, bricks can be used to commemorate your own or a loved one’s UCF graduation; honor your fraternity, sorority or other campus organization; or mark a special milestone.

Whatever person or event you choose to recognize, your brick on Knights Terrace will serve as a permanent reminder of your lifelong connection to your alma mater.

Memories & Milestones Knights Terrace is peppered with numerous meaningful messages, but perhaps none more special than that of its first brick proposal. Michele McGlamory, ’10, and Rob Brunjes, ’11, (below right) cemented the start of their new life together on Nov. 21, 2014.

Building Tradition On Nov. 4, 2005, the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center opened its doors, finally giving alumni a permanent home on our university’s beautiful main campus thanks to a $1.2 million gift from FAIRWINDS Credit Union.

Shortly after our grand opening celebration, we lost our dear friend and former director of alumni relations, Manny Rodriguez.

In his honor, we established the Manny Rodriguez ’75 Endowment to provide ongoing support for the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center facility. One of Manny’s last requests was that other members of the UCF family support this endowment so past, present and future alumni will always have a home at UCF. We would not be able to do what we do without the support of our alumni, family and friends. Frequently Asked Questions What is the deposit fee?

The deposit is 50 percent of the room rental fee and is due when the contract is signed.

What does the rental fee cover?

The rental fee covers the cost of the use of the facilities, along with 60-inch round, 6-foot or classroom tables and banquet chairs. All other items (linens, projector and screen, cocktail tables, dance floor, podium, microphones, easels, etc.) fall under eventrelated expenses. Invoices include an 18 percent service fee and tax (if applicable) added to the final bill. The service fee covers our event team to set up, break down and coordinate your event. Weekend events are subject to an additional fee.

Is a dance floor included in the rental fee?

A dance floor can be provided for an additional fee.

What is the rental duration?

Weekday events Monday through Friday are entitled to an eight-hour rental. Weekend events are entitled to a six-hour rental block inclusive of setup and breakdown.

Additional time may be purchased at $150 per hour.

How do I reserve space?

Once you have verified with our team that your date is available, please fill out a simple reservation form. Our team directory and online reservation form can be found at UCFalumnicenter.com.

Space can only be reserved with a completed online reservation form, signed contract and proper deposit.

Can I have an off-campus caterer for my event?

All catering must be coordinated with an approved vendor of the University of Central Florida. The list of approved vendors consists of on- and off-campus vendors.

Our preferred vendors are highlighted on pages 12-15.

Is alcohol permitted?

Yes. Clients may coordinate their own alcohol through an approved caterer. A state licensed vendor is required to serve the alcohol at your event.

How may I decorate?

Decorations must be approved by the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center management.

Decorations are permitted only in the space you have reserved. It’s the responsibility of the renter to remove all decorations immediately after your event. No rice (including puffed rice or biodegradable rice), birdseed, confetti, glitter or other similar materials may be used inside or outside the alumni center. Bubbles are permitted outside only. Decorations may not be affixed to the walls, doors, windows, window coverings, chairs, painted surfaces or hung from the ceiling. Fog machines, dry ice and/or open flames are not permitted.

No hand-held candles are permitted inside.
