UCD Careers Network is a Career and Employability Professional Service that aims to develop the skills, attitudes, and attributes of students to prepare them for the world of work.

UCD provides a wide range of academic internship programmes, embedded into the curriculum across all six colleges and supported by the Careers Network.
Academic internships are accredited university modules They are a three-way partnership between the student, employer and the university.
WIL is an educational approach that combines theory with practical, work-related experiences. UCD offers students over 12,000 work-integrated learning experiences annually, with our employer and industry partners. These experiences can include:

Projects with industry including elements such as guest lecturing and mentoring
Access diversly talented, highly motivated students who are well trained in their discipline

The UCD Careers Network has a dedicated Research Careers Team specifically for research Masters students, PhD candidates and Postdoctoral Fellows.
They host a wide range of tailored networking events where employers can meet PhD candidates and researchers.
Our alumni researchers work in wide-ranging roles across all sectors including: Pharma, ICT, Consultancy, Finance, Arts & Culture, NGOs, Public Service and Academia.
Since 2017, the Careers Network has hosted an annual Early Career Researcher & Company Networking event every May.
