WhoWeAre
We build community at work.
We’re passionate about creating a space where people feel free to be their truest selves at work. We strive to ensure that everyone in the Department feels safe and seen in their talents, passions, and differences.
As a council we support the goals and mission of UC Davis and UC Davis Health. We work to enhance access to opportunities - from volunteering to professional development - for all staff and faculty. We create and host activities to strengthen working relationships, foster a sense of community in the workplace, and build a strong sense of belonging amongst all members of the Department.
Beyond the workplace, we connect with the greater Sacramento community to deepen our understanding of the needs around us. Together we explore how we can collaborate to make a positive impact outside of our Department. We support causes outside of our offices by nourishing community partnerships and donating our time and money to support our community
WhatWeDo
As a council, we meet monthly to develop, organize, and implement our annual goals
We organize and host PHS social events to foster a sense of community and belonging among Department faculty and staff
We host forums and speaker series designed to encourage conversation that promotes connection and learning for all.
We curate a monthly newsletter for department members, serving as a department-wide resource The council maintains the PHS multicultural calendar, which features upcoming events and cultural observances
